In 1786, Luigi Galvani conducted an experiment in which he accidentally electrically stimulated the leg of a dissected frog. He thus realized that animals have a kind of bioelectricity, giving rise to biophysics. This bioelectricity is extendable to all living beings, regardless of their size, bacteria, amoebas, fungi, plants, etc.
This work addresses what some theorists have called the vegetal turn, that is, analyzing the biosignals and biomarkers characteristic of plants to bring us closer to the type of intelligence they reveal. If we can analyze some human conditions through electroencephalography, the biosignals of plants show us that they are perfectly aware of what is happening in their environment and within themselves.
The artist has developed a cognitive prosthesis so that the plant can write an autobiographical text that will be published on a web platform and gradually gain a voice that it will share with the digital world, thus telling its own story instead of having it narrated again by a human being.
